THE ABELLA-ARELLANO NUPTIAL '06

Posted by Grace , wife to Rolly; mother to Amir & Ace

"To Love Is Not To Look At One Another But To look Together In The Same Direction ."

Abella-Arellano Nuptial, the moment Rolly and I were waiting for nine years, a union that binds us as one. Wedding is one of the most awaited, fascinating but expensive ceremony ofor two lovers, but for us commoners, it was likely just a dream. Love is the condition in which happiness of another person is essential to your own. We learned to work hard and independently to prepare for this special celebration and our future family. For two years, we bought a lot in Bulacan, managed to buy a car and finally, set a wedding plan.

Nobody knew about our plans from the very beginning. We believed that beautiful weddings need not too be costly. We didn't plan that after the celebration, our married life would start with heavy debts or simply flat broke. We limited our guest for financial reasons and at the same time we wanted to be witnessed by people that really became a part of our life. No show-off ika nga! We're not celebrities. We didn't like our wedding to be extravagant that guests would criticize. We wished our guests to be fascinated and inspired in our wedding. And this was how it started.

OUR WEDDING RING was the first thing we decided to order 7 months before the wedding.

Two Years before our wedding, we already come-up w/ this design, unlike the usual wedding ring - we want our wedding vow engraved inside the ring, So that we would not forget it as; we getting older....

Our Wedding Prayer

It took us along time to fulfill this dream.
We thank you for giving us all the happiness and trials we had;
it is YOU who always give us the guiding spirit,
Now we pray for only one thing...
make this love of ours the most lasting.

Only Time - Sung by Enya was chosen to be the piece for the bridal walk.... Usually, most churches prepared the Wedding March or instrumental song but since this is another "soon-to be couples" idea we need to get the Church approval and send copy of the lyrics to the Wedding Coordinator.

ONLY TIME
Enya

Who can say where the road goes,
Where the day flows, only time?
And who can say if your love grows,
As your hearth chose, only time?

Who can say why your heart sights,
As your live flies, only time?
And who can say why your heart cries
when your love lies, only time?

Who can say when the roads meet,
That love might be ,in your heart?
and who can say when the day sleeps,
and the night keeps all your heart?
Night keeps all your heart.....

Who can say if your love groves,
As your heart chose, only time?
And who can say where the road goes
Where the day flows, only time?

Who knows? Only time
Who knows? Only time

Two souls with but a single thought

Two hearts that beat as one

GROW OLD WITH YOU
Adam Sandler

I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you
Ill get your medicine when your tummy aches

Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you
I'll miss you
I'll kiss you

Give you my coat when you are cold
I'll need you
I'll feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you...

TO OUR DEAR PARENTS:

The moment has come for us to start on our own. Though it may seem just the two of us we know that in truth, you are always there, for we will never forget the good things that you’ve shared us and next to the Lord. You will always be there to guide and enlighten us on the path that we are abut to take. Thank you very much for the love and support.

…Today we begin the rest of our life
Together forever as husband and wife.
Our dreams came true, with love and more
Adventures to have and the world to explore.

We’ll share our joys, we’ll share our sorrows;
We can already see many bright tomorrows.
We’ll share our friends and family, too,
And you are part of that special crew.

Thank you for celebrating our wedding day.
As we share our vows, we just want to say:
These wedding memories will become a treasure,
And seeing you here is part of the pleasure.

LIKE THE LEAVES ON THE SUMMER BREEZE,
OUR HEARTS ARE UPLIFTED BY LOVE!

I LOVE YOU ALL THE WAY

Janie Fricke

All this time we’ve been together
Everyday a new adventure
Time’s enough to last forever and a day
Our love was sometimes all we had
Through good times and through bad
I loved you all the way. . .

All our days were’nt bright and sunny
There were times we had no money
You could always find some funny things to say
I’m lookin’ back on where we’ve been
I’d do it all again
I loved you all the way. . .

Refrain:
I loved you all the way, hey
Everynight, everynight, everday. . .

Times I thought I could’nt take it
Wondrin’ if we’d ever make it
You could hold me close and make it go away
And though I’ve said it all before
I never meant it more
I love you all the way. . .

Coda:
I loved you all the way. . .

The Family Moved to its Second Residence

Posted by Grace , wife to Rolly; mother to Amir & Ace

We found our calm and harmonized home in a topsy-turvy place of Tondo.

Summer of 2007, we resided to my parent's house in Tondo, Manila. The Arellano family was glad to live together with us, especially the twins' grandparents. On the past, at the time of their great grandfather Valentino Arellano , the house was built with large scale and was then divided to three when he passed away. The other two were rented for family income. Not until it was decided to renovate the house for us to move in and some time for Amir and Ace to cherish their childhood.

These pictures were taken inside the house after being renovated by my father (it took him only three months to finish this single-handedly.)

The wooden narra sofa has its sentimental value & were first brought after receiving my first paycheck (1998)

We bought a piece of land in Bulacan and we're hoping in the future, perhaps after 4 years, our dream house will be built here. For now, we are well and guided by my parents and siblings while my husband works hard and tirelessly overseas (he works on a ship and travels around the globe) for our family's future.

Starting this month, our bedroom will be "refurbished" because my husband, Rolly, will be returning home this month *overjoyed*.

Our Family's First Homestead

Posted by Grace , wife to Rolly; mother to Amir & Ace

"After getting married, we decided to buy this set of dining table as our first "conjugal" pieces of furniture (July 2006). Since younger days I always dreamed of a family whose happily dine together even it just a plain salt and rice at the middle of the table. Sad to say, I raised in the family we're we eat in different parts of the house at no particular time, unlike my husband's family, eating together is an important family affair. During the times we're we are not married yet- Rol, insisted to eat w/ me in one plate, even if were are in a party or formal gathering. Until now, nothings changed even we have already our own separate chairs in this dining table, this eating practice is a treasured moments for us of our younger years."

"A House is a Home when it shelters the body and comforts the soul...."

But for us, our humble home is love I didn't have
to chase because the love is in every place.
Home is where l can see my love one's faces,
Home is where l can see my dogs and trashes and just embrace,
Home is where l can say I love you & take care.
Home is where you know love in in the air.
Home is where we can sit and cry out loud.
Home is where l will never tell you a lie.
Home, is where l feel blessed to look my love ones in the eye.
Home, is where we can communicate when I'm with you and it feels great.
Home, is where are children are going to be.
Home is were you will say you will never miss me.
But I missed our first home were we build our dreams.
Time goes bye setting priorities may begin,
I pray that one day we'll get back soon.
Promise you will wait and hoping for you to embrace us in full.

" A day after our wedding, we're totally fortunate to find our first residence in Caloocan.
Luckily enough, the house was very near (walking takes 5 minutes) to the school
where I worked as a teacher. "

- HOME -

Home is where all striving cease,
Home is the place your heart resides
Home is the womb that holds the soul
Home is the place one is whole
Home is the glow you hold in your eye
Home is the emotion that makes you cry
Home is safe and a place of peace
Home is where all striving cease
Home is protective against the others
Home is full of sisters and brothers
Home is where you find your rest
Home is where you feel your best
Home is a memory that follows your being
Home is a dream for those agreeing
Home is the place where reserves fall
Home is the place you yearn to call
Home is where the family meets
Home is a place of restful retreats
Home is the place you know you’ll be heard
Home is the pace where nothing blurs
Home is all these wonderful things
Home is the place you develop wings
Home is the place that you’ll find one day
Home is the place where your heart will stay

"Sadly, we said goodbye three months after I gave birth to my twins to our first home
on summer of 2007. We would surely miss this house."

MARIE ANN' GARDEN in Malabon

Posted by Grace , wife to Rolly; mother to Amir & Ace

A fitting venue for a filipiniana fairytale wedding

...Boredom is the source of inventiveness. As people got tired of the usual hotel wedding receptions that prove to be very costly, try to search for friendlier alternatives. Here is the place brought about the emergence of garden and theme wedding and dawning of the new garden-venue rentals. not only it is more economical but it allows the bride to live out a one-in-lifetime fancy of flora and fauna this is
the perfect place for the perfect moment...

Timeless romance of a filipiniana wedding is still closest to the hearts of many brides in our country, and here I discovered Marie Ann's Garden, a fitting venue for filipiniana fairytale wedding to be possible...

Entrance Venue

Marie Ann's Gardens landscape is dominated by a turn of the century house with 21th century convenience. This building houses an office, utility area, and bridal suite which also has period of interiors similar to Intramuros' Casa Manila. A stone staircase complete with a fog and bubble machine provides the bride a mystical moment, as she walk down to the garden reception.

The famous stone-staircase

Steps for love...

View from window

.........We believe that beautiful weddings need not to bee costly, It is indeed the value for money alternative..... Here there's no need for a hotel reservation for an extravagant photo-shoot for wedding preparation, its all here.

...It also offer an in-house photographer, but if because of a tight budget i might also try there horse-drawn carriage similar to that used by e Princess Diana, it give a feeling of being a local royalty for short meaningful time.

.............Marie Ann's Garden develop a tradition of asking willing brides to pose in a nude or semi-nude in a tasteful wedding related pictorials before they put on their traje de boda. It is a celebration of the Filipino woman, which intends to capture the last moments of maidenhood. I'm a little bit nervous at the same time excited to try this new adventure .

What seems to me at first prove to see my self is a humor and logic behind of it. After eventual motherhood, my alluring figures may be but a memory at all or maybe when infidelity occurs on the part of my husband, I might show these photos to remind him how pure and how beautiful I was when I married him.

THE EVENT...

Surprisingly the venue rental is cheap at around P12-17 ,000 (year 2006)
which includes the assistance of a very nice wedding coordinator up to the very end of the event.

Dinner time at the gazebo..............

...High standard accredited caterers offer packages for as low as P250 pesos per head.
